A few months into Industrial Promotion Services (IPS), Diana received an unexpected email from HR inviting her for her first health check-up. The email provided further instructions including the date, venue and time and highlighted that the health checkups would be free. Curious, she decided to attend. On that day, Diana underwent several health check-ups—it was a simple gesture, but it made her day, reminding her that her well-being truly mattered.
Across the IPS group, stories like Diana’s are becoming more common, thanks to the Workplace Wellness Programme. At Frigoken (Spiceken Ltd), Reuben, who works in the factory, started his day with a quick health check—not at a hospital, but right outside the factory premises. Meanwhile, in a bustling Kampala office, Joseph attends an afternoon mental health awareness talk in the conference room, and at Mlolongo Primary School, Veronica, a nurse from Allpack Ltd, provides much-needed health services to students.
In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to overlook one’s well-being, which is why IPS brings health services directly to the heart of our diverse workplaces and communities. Throughout the year, IPS project companies in East Africa benefited more than 1,000 employees, their families, and students from the local communities through a series of health and wellness initiatives.

IPS also conducted a medical camp for staff in collaboration with Jubilee Insurance, Antara Health, Eye Modes and Gentle Dental. The camp which brought healthcare services to all of our staff, included free medical screenings, doctor and nutrition consultations and eye and dental checkups. The camp was preceded by a series of health talks throughout the year that focused on preventive care.
“It was great to have the health professionals come to us and conduct thorough checkups right here at the office.”
