I started as a graduate trainee at BEL in 2022 and I am currently a plant operator. The structured training progammes and workshops at BEL have equipped me with technical skills and industry insights that are driving my ongoing professional growth. As an intern in quality control at Botanical Extracts, I've gained invaluable experience in data analysis, quality assurance and problem-solving. As an assistant stock accountant intern at PFL, I've developed my professional skills, particularly in management accounting and I’ve gained hands-on experience in managing and analysing stock-related financial data, including inventory records, financial calculations, and stock valuation. This experience has allowed me to apply my knowledge in real-world scenarios and contribute meaningfully to the organisation. The collaborative environment and mentorship have boosted my confidence and provided invaluable industry insights.

My journey from intern to full-time team member at PFL has been transformative. I've enhanced my analytical, organisational, and leadership skills. The HR team's mentorship has instilled in me the values of professionalism, dedication, teamwork, and servanthood leadership. The most valuable skills I've gained are interpersonal and problem-solving, skills, which have broadened my perspective on people and life. This experience has been a crucial stepping stone in my career. I'm eager to face future challenges in service and administration.

I remember when I received that call from Kampala Pharmaceuticals Industries that I got the job and on top of that they will be paying 50% of my tuition fee, from my undergraduate to postgraduate. This is one of the most memorable moments in my life. I have garnered so many skills and moved up the rank to a manager position in my sphere of influence.

Emotional intelligence, communication skills, creativity, adaptability, teamwork and organisational skills are some of the skills I have gained working at Allpack. Allpack has given me the opportunity to grow as a young person from being an intern accountant, sales intern and finally to getting a position in the customer care department. I am privileged to be among the many youth considered for the youth programme.

When the pandemic hit, I was laid off at my place of work. I started applying for positions and that is how I landed an intern position at Allpack. I remember on the 6th month of my internship on 2nd November 2020, I was called to the HR department and informed that I have been selected to join the supply chain department. I didn’t apply for this job, the team had been monitoring my performance and considered me for the position.

My internship at IPS has been an invaluable experience, bridging my Yale-NUS College studies with real-world projects in East Africa. I've contributed to initiatives addressing food insecurity and renewable energy access, aligning with my passion for sustainable development. I've developed skills in critically analysing project feasibility from chemistry and engineering perspectives. Site visits to various IPS companies have provided crucial operational insights. This internship has offered valuable industry insights into the science and technology development field.

My journey from intern to employee at Farmers Choice has been extraordinary. Working with an incredible team, I've gained crucial skills in purchasing, including leadership, people management, time management, and independence. My goal is to continue developing my skills and further my education to better serve the company's purchasing team and improve its efficiency as I aspire to rise to a managerial position.

Back in 1994, at the age of 23, I embarked on a career journey with Allpack Industries Limited as a dispatch clerk. Little did I know that this would mark the beginning of a remarkable chapter in my professional life. Through training and mentoring, I progressed from a dispatch clerk to the role of dispatch supervisor. This role became my domain until 2012 when I took on the challenge of leading the inbound store as the head of the department. These experiences have played a significant role in elevating my career.

I started my journey at Allpack Industries as a manual sewing attendant and today, I proudly serve as a Quality Assurance personnel. Allpack's commitment to my growth has been unwavering, it’s investment in my development has equipped me with extensive knowledge in laboratory quality analysis, ensuring that our customers consistently receive top-notch products. I have had the opportunity to not only lead but also bring my value.
